well i had been thinking of starting a blog for what i believe in. very specifically i am not a woman activist. instead i believe in equality & humanity. so after a little research i started this blog. i am from a middle class bengali family didnt have to face of the things what i wrote. i just had one compalint to my life, it's that my mother always wanted a male child, so she hasnt been happy with me or probably i just cant make her happy enough.
from very childhood i had been religious by nature. i am fortunate to be born in a satipith of India, Kalighat. but i always wondered why the mother Goddess is worshipped by male priests? not that they are very qualified brahmins. instead i have severe objection on their pronounciation of mantras.
it was in 2007, march in my Gurudev's ashram in benaras. it was the day of Ashtami of Durga pooja i was not allowed to offer flowers to the God for i was having menstrual period inspite of the fact that my Gurudev didnt hesitate to allow me. the objection came from other girls only. it was that day i realised the need to eradicate the negative feelings from the girls' minds. how the society had suppressed the greatest boon given to girls as a curse due to their own ignorance.
it's only a small trial from my part to start a journey, dont know what awaits me, nor if anyone would at all agree & help. one thing i just know some day i shall win because i am with the truth, with what my heart feels.
God bless.
Great Work!Well done!
